The fastest of the 4 swimming styles, freestyle offers three types of swimming techniques - Hip Driven, Shoulder Driven, And Body Driven. The technique you choose depends mostly on the distance you swim. For example, Open Water swimmers use a variant of Hip Driven swimming in order to utilise body rotation and spread the workload for longer periods of time.
